Robin Scherbatsky’s got style, eh! Part 2.

Robin Scherbatsky (played by Cobie Smuldersfrom How I Met Your Mother is just a regular woman like the rest of us. Trying to make it in the business world, has her share of heartaches, and tries to show she is tough when all she does is care. Although a true Canadian through and through, living in NYC she has adapated a great sense of style and honestly, I wish I had her wardrobe. Time to continue at riffling through Robin’s fantastic closet.

This green and black dress  and black high boots is the perfect look for Fall. It’s work appropriate but is still great for a night out for supper. You can even add thin black stockings to give it a more Fall/Winter look.

Animal print can be seen everywhere lately and this is a great exmaple of an animal print dress that doesn’t look like something Snooki from the Jersey Shore would wear. It’s classy and elegant and the deep colors make the animal print stand out just enough. The strappy sandal goes along with the femininity of the dress.

I absolutely love how this look turned out. The white shirt from under with the unique neck detailing, and the light grey blazer is soft yet so professional all at once.

With Fall right around the corner I am already keeping my eyes peeled for a great jacket. This is something I would love to own. A leather jacket with sheep fur on the inside. It is warm and very stylish. Gives your outfits an edgier look without going the biker leather jacket route.

The color of her boots is something we rarely see. Usually all you see is the typical black and brown, but these burgundy boots are making me rethink my Fall boot choices. The whole look is adorable and can be worn for many different occasions. These pattern blouses are always handy and will never go out of style!

This is one of my favorite Robin looks. It is relatively simple, but I love the colorblocking done for this ensemble. The simple white and black combo is broken with these vibrant blue capris. And the pointy black stilettos make the entire look very modern.

Leather, is there anything better? (I attempted to rhyme just now). A shirt that combines  leather and fabric is a great way to introduce leather into your outfit without the classic leather pants (which not everyone can pull off-very few in fact). Black on black is one of my favorite looks because it allows you to play up yout makeup and accessories.

As I mentioned animal print is all the rage and Robin’s snakeskin blouse is really nice. Makes a typical work outfit not at all boring, and the matching color palette of the bag is a nice touch to tie in the whole look together.

What is so great about this dress is, well, everything. This drop dead gorgeous red gown with a plunging neckline is unforgettable and the black coat with fur colar is the perfect addition for a chilly New York evening.

How I Met Your Mother is a great show that is filled with laughter and love. Robin’s great sense of style is just a bonus to every episode. It is hard to choose which look of Robin’s is the best, but I think any fan would agree that Robin Sparkle’s outfits were the winners. Now that we’ve gone through Robin’s wardrobe, let’s go to the mall (as Miss.Sparkle would say)!

This Means Fashion.

I can name 3 good reasons why you should watch This Means War: Tom Hardy, Chris Pine and fashion. If the men weren’t eye candy enough, Lauren (played by Reeese Witherspoon) has one amazing sense of style and each outfit is as appealing to the eye as are Chris Pine’s baby blues.

Lauren is a professional woman and she makes sure to dress like it. This brown tie dress and burgundy purse is an interesting combination that I normally wouldn’t have thought of, but it works! Combining colors in the same palette is a great way to match without using complimentary colors.

You all know how I feel about a good red dress. It pops and is perfect for day time as well as night. This fitted t-shirt style dress is great for a date when you don’t want to seem too overdressed. Zippers always add a casual funky aspect to a piece (but you want to make sure to not overdo them either).

My favorite look of the entire movie: this white lace dress, with a navy blazer and nude pumps. Navy and nude is probably my favorite color combination of all time and the white lace adds a feminine, sophisticated touch. This look is appropriate for a date, or even a bigger event like a christening or engagement party.

I love how she can have such different looks in this movie. From cute and sweet to ultra sexy, this look definitely fits in the latter categorie. A short leather black skirt with a sheer black top demonstrates confidence and is a sure fire bet to impress your date. Also, you can never go wrong with the classic black Christian Louboutin shoes (with a slingback twist)!

Lauren demonstrates here that brown and black do in fact go well together. A simple black tank and black pants with a dark brown biker jacket makes her look like a CIA agent herself. Opting for a brown jacket instead of the typical black breaks down the color scheme without making anything stand out too much.

No doubt about it Lauren covered all bases of fashion from cute and feminine to sexy and sultry. She demonstrated that bold colors and simple cuts with no patterns can still make a strong statement. She clearly had taste when it came to clothes, and men! And I won’t be spoiling as to who she chooses at the end of the movie, that’s something you’ll have to find out for yourself!

From Geek to Chic.

Jennifer Aniston is my best friend. Well, not quite. This is what I wish I could say. She’s funny, seems nice, and is Greek (and if you couldn’t guess from my extra long last name, so am I)! Bottom line is she’s quirky and her style is more often than not, out of this world. She’s definitely made some bad choices when it comes to the big screen and unfortunately “Just Go With It“, is no exception. It’s your typical ugly-plain-ducking-turns-into-hot-woman-and-ends-up-falling-for main-charater kind of plot. This movie may not have gotten too many laughs out of me, but it sure had one great stylist. When Katherine Murphy (Jen) got her makeover, she pulled out all the stops and dressed to impress. And impressed she did.

There is just something about a white dress that screams class. Add the fact that she went nude with her belt and shoe selection makes the look even cleaner and so well put together. My goal for this summer is to buy a short white dress and mimic this entire look (at a more affordable price because this entire look probably cost way over $1,000).

The main attraction: The dress alone is to die for, but the fact that she added this great belt made this look appropriate for a day time get-together. A nice belt goes a long way and can change an entire outfit. It tones down the elegance of the dress and makes it wearable for more casual occasions.

An LBD (Little Black Dress) is a must in every girls closet. Wearing black from head to toe sometimes is the way to go. It adds a little mystery and definitely oozes sexy.

The main attraction: I love this whole look from the purse selection to the belt, however look at those shoes! Elaborate strappy sandals are definitely in this season, and I think they are here to stay! If you are looking for something similar, I would stick to either black or nude for a shoe like this. You’ll be able to wear them a lot more often and the color won’t take away from the style.

Usually when I go down South I see beach vendors selling crocheted dresses. My parents have bought me a few when on vacation, but I never had the guts to wear them. However, after seeing how cute Katherine’s look was with her wavy beach hair and this off-white crocheted dress, I think on my next vacation I will be pulling my dresses out of the drawers!

The main attraction: Pulling off the perfect beach waves is a very difficult thing to do. They either end up too flat, or too crunchy. The casual looking sun-kissed waves  give off a vacation vibe and are definitely ideal for Summer!

A cute white loose tank with cut off shorts can go a long way. As women we tend to think more is better, however, Katherine shows that simplicity sometimes is the best for a casual night in (all the while avoiding your sweat pants).

The main attraction: I love the fact that the shorts are a light jean color. They’re not white, but not a dark denim either. You can match any color with this type of denim which allows for a variety of different ensembles!
